A male plant is often long and thin and has fewer leaves. The moment the plant starts to flower, a male plant has seed male flowers or seed ‘balls’. A female plant will never have these but she has flowers and resin. A male plant can fertilise a female plant so a female plant will produce seeds. The result of the production of seeds by the female plant is that energy is lost and this results in a smaller harvest. We only sell female seeds.
No, we do not sell male seeds.
If you don’t intend to use your seeds immediately it’s important to store them properly. If you fail to do so, they may lose germinability and may become unusable. It is vital that you store seeds properly if you want to cultivate plants later. Store seeds in a cool, dark place, the refrigerator is perfect for that. Store it airtight at a temperature between 3 and 7 degrees Celsius. If you have stored your beloved seeds in an airtight, watertight manner in a dark place at the right temperature then they can be kept viable for up to 2 years.
If stored correctly, cannabis seeds have an excellent shelf life and could in theory be stored for at least 10 years. However, the success rate of the seeds germination does drop significantly after two years of storage. When you decide to germinate old seeds, make sure to take them out of the refrigerator at least 12 hours and then soak these older seeds for 12 hours in 22C° water with a couple of drops of hydrogen peroxide to soften the shell. This way the seeds can acclimate, which will increase the chance of germination.
Best results are reached by first germinating the seeds in a controlled environment. It increases the chance that the seeds germinate well. When you directly put seeds in the ground without germinating it first, it is probable that a part of the seeds will not come up.
Germination goes best between humid cottons in a controlled environment. If you germinate in a petri dish with cottons, water and the right temperature, up to 95% of the seeds will germinate.
No, during germination there is no need for extra light. Providing extra light can even disturb the germination.

Common problems are:

  • temperature too low
  • environment (cottons) too wet
  • used incorrect water.
Cannabis seedlings thrive in humid conditions with a gentle breeze in bright indirect sunlight with a temperature in the range from 21°C to 23°C. Preferably no drops of water on the leaves.
Yes, that is possible if you grow outside. Start in May with germination and from mid-May you can put the plants outside. The more sun for the plants, the better. Cultivating indoors without lamps is not possible. Cultivating without light in a greenhouse is possible though.
May is the best month to start. It is still possible to cultivate in June. If you want to start in July or August, it is better if you choose an autoflower because these start to flower faster. So, you can still obtain results in time.
Yes, if you use lamps you can grow cannabis indoors throughout the year, as you determine the climate in the cultivation room yourself. Light is the most important factor to successfully grow cannabis.
Strains that have proven to bring high yields are Amnesia Mac Ganja Haze and The Empire of the Sun. The yield is mostly determined by the conditions. So, do not just focus on the yields that seed producers mention. These large yields are often obtained under ideal circumstances; with a lot of light and with the right fertiliser. But you yourself are the most important factor for success. Love and attention result in the biggest harvests.

The Harlequin CBD and Black Beauty CBD have the highest CBD percentages. In the Medical Intend category all strains contain more than 1% CBD. You can use the Kera Seeds product filter to find the appropriate seeds.

Amnesia and Zkittels. You can use the Kera Seeds product filter to find the appropriate seeds.

The highest percentages of both THC as well as CBD in a cannabis plant are currently being produced by NLX Special.

Indica strains often have big harvests: short, thick, dark leaves and cannabis with relaxing effects. Sativa strains often grow taller and have long thin leaves and cannabis with energetic effects.

Most plants are interbred and a combination of Indica and Sativa. These strains are hundred percent Indica or Sativa.

Yes, if the average temperature is high enough. Unfortunately, in the Netherlands and Northern Europe it is not so warm on average. That’s why not all cannabis strains are suitable for outdoor cultivation. You can use the Kera Seeds product filter to find the appropriate seeds.
Autoflower cannabis plants are plants that automatically flower. So, you do not need to modify the light cycle when growing indoors. When growing outdoors, you don’t have to wait till the end of summer.
Medicinal strains are cannabis strains that also contain CBD. In general, it is assumed that both CBD and THC have a medicinal effect and that both substances influence one another.
Everybody has his/her preference. You can use the Kera Seeds product filter to find the seeds that fit your needs.

In general the autoflower cannabis plants stay smaller than normal cannabis plants. Of the autoflower strains, the Dwarf is the smallest one. In normal conditions its height is between 35 and 50 cm.

We can never guarantee germination. Cannabis seeds are a natural product and nature is beautiful, but does not come with guarantees. It’s safe to expect 95% germination.

Cannabis seeds should sprout within 10 days. If a seed does not germinate within this period, this can be caused by:

  • Wrong storage
  • Germinating conditions

This phenomenon happens sometimes and doesn’t necessarily have to be a problem. A sprouted cannabis seed may not shed its shell easily when the seed is older than two years or has been planted to shallow or in soil with a high density. In these last cases the seed might have germinated too fast and dried out before it had the chance to shed its shell. In such cases, try moisturising the seed shell by dripping small droplets of water onto it. Carefully try to free the developing seedling by pulling gently on each side of the split seed shell. Wait and moisturise when experiencing resistance. This process can take up to a couple of days and does not guarantee the preferred result.

Unfortunately we are unable to give any warranty on our products. Because we deliver a natural product whereby the actions, care and attention with which the consumer handles, stores and works with the product can have a huge impact on our products.
Normal seeds based on photoperiod flowering enter the flowering stage when days become shorter than 14 hours. In nature, this usually happens naturally and gradually. When growing indoors, growers usually shorten the day-time period with a time switch on the lights. Setting it back from 18 hours light and 6 hours of darkness for the vegetative state, to 12 hours day-time and 12 hours night-time per day for the plants to enter the flowering stage. Autoflowering cannabis plants do not rely on this natural light cycle to flower, these plants will flower automatically after a couple of weeks; regardless of the hours of light.

Each strain has its own flowering period depending on it’s genetics, so there is no standard answer to this question. But there are a few ways to determine if a cannabis plant is ready to harvest:

  • First are the pistils, the white hairs on the flowers of the plant. When around 80% of these pistils dry in and turn orange/brown at the end of the flowering stage, chances are the buds are almost ready to harvest.
  • Look at the trichomes on the buds with a zoom lens or microscope. Trichomes are the sticky glands at the surface of the flowers and leaves of cannabis plants that contain the active components most cannabis users are after. When these are still transparent, it’s too early for the plant to be harvested; THC and other components have yet to be formed in these trichomes.
  • Cannabis plants reach the perfect harvest time when around 70% of all trichomes have a milky colour, with a few transparent and a couple of amber ones. From this point on, with time, THC in the plant will oxidise and turn into the more sedative cannabinoid CBN.
